Can I sell my car without a notary?
No — the signatures must be notarised. A car is transferred by written contract with the signatures certified by a notary; without that certification the sale is void and ownership does not pass at all. Before the deal the notary checks for encumbrances, seizures and public debts, and that the seller really is the owner.
