Can I wild camp in Czechia?
It depends where and how. Camping — tent, fire, gear, a multi-day stay — is banned in forests (Forest Act) and in national parks, protected landscape areas and reserves outside designated sites, with on-the-spot fines around CZK 5,000. But people confuse camping with simply sleeping out. Park rangers now also patrol with drones, so counting on not being seen is a weak strategy. Light a fire on top of it and you add a second offence — fires are banned in forests and within 50 metres of the edge, always. And on private land without consent you are unlawfully using someone else's property, which the owner can pursue.
