I want to report a crime without giving my name

Direct answer

Every country has an anonymous reporting line — Αστυνομία Κύπρου — Γραμμή Πολίτη 1460 (1460) — that passes tips to the police without recording who called: drug production, weapons, human trafficking, a wanted person, a fraud you have seen at work. Your identity is not taken, and the report cannot be traced back. For a crime in progress or danger to life, call Δήμος / Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο (ucm.org.cy) — you can still refuse to give your name. Non-criminal nuisances (illegal dumping, unlicensed businesses, noise) go to Νομική Αρωγή (Δικαστήριο) / Παγκύπριος Δικηγορικός Σύλλογος (cyprusbarassociation.org), which also accepts anonymous reports.

❓ Frequently asked

Will the police contact me?

Not through the anonymous line — they cannot. If you want to be a witness later, report directly instead.

Is reporting anonymously less effective?

Tips are cross-checked with other information; many searches start with an anonymous tip. Detail makes the difference.

I am scared of the person

Anonymous reporting exists for that. Consider also telling Δήμος / Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο if you feel threatened; victim support can advise.
