Seat Terms
These terms apply when a business books a sponsor seat on FFCheck. We wrote them in plain language. Please read them before you book.
Version v1 · 7 Oct 2026. When you book, we store which version you accepted, with the date and the language.
We explain sponsor blocks to readers on our page “How FFCheck earns money”.
1. Who we are, and who may book
The seller is GOAT Pixels, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, trading as FFCheck: KvK 82724822, VAT number (btw) NL003722987B94. Our address and email address are on our imprint page. Below, “we” means GOAT Pixels and “you” means the business that books.
- You book only as a business, for your own business. Consumers cannot book a seat.
- One account is one legal entity with its own brand. You may not book for clients, pool seats with others, or resell or sublet a seat.
2. What you buy
- A seat is one topic in one country. Your block shows on every language version of that page in that country: the page in the national language, its English version and the page in any other national language.
- A seat belongs to the page, not to its web address. If the address changes or redirects, your seat follows the page.
- Your block shows your name, a small logo, a headline of up to 60 characters, one line of up to 120 characters and one link to your website.
- The block is static: no forms, calculators, rankings or comparisons, and no cookies, pixels or scripts.
- The link is marked as sponsored, so it gives your website no value in search engines.
- We promise no traffic, clicks or rankings. The Google numbers on a seat card describe the past.
- One sponsor can hold the same topic in at most 10 countries.
3. Our independence
- You have no say over our verdict, steps, official contacts, questions (FAQ), structured data or page descriptions. Free and official routes always come first.
- Your block sits below the answer, the steps and the official contacts, and above the questions.
- Every block starts with our label: the word for advertisement in the page's language, and your name. The label is mandatory and cannot be changed.
- If you are a comparison site or broker paid by commission, your block also says so.
4. Pages we never sell
This rule is part of these terms, word for word:
FFCheck never shows a sponsor, placeholder, affiliate link or any ad on pages about children, suicide, mental health, abuse, medical harm, death, violence, safety emergencies, debt distress, asylum or papers of vulnerable people, or anything similar. When in doubt, a page counts as sensitive.
If we reclassify a page as sensitive, its block comes off at once. You then get the nearest open seat or a pro-rata refund.
5. Your text
- Your booking includes one version of your text: a headline and a line, written in the language of the booking form. We adapt it natively to every language of all your seats, at no extra cost. You do not need to approve the adapted versions.
- Tailored text is an add-on you can choose per seat. On those seats you write your own headline and line for every language of the seat. Where you leave a field empty, we use your one version, adapted.
- You are responsible for the truth of your text. When we adapt it, we keep its meaning; if an adaptation is wrong, we correct it.
- We check every version natively before it goes live, and we may refuse it.
- Not allowed: prices, superlatives, comparisons, claims such as “official”, “approved”, “independent” or “certified”, health claims, and other companies' brand names.
- Your block shows only in languages where your text is approved. If a language is missing or fails our check, the block does not show on that page. We never show another language instead.
- A logo is optional: PNG or JPEG, at most 200 KB.
- One change of your text per quarter is included. To ask for it, reply to your booking email.
6. Your promises
By booking, you confirm that:
- your business is lawfully established, holds every licence it needs and is not on any regulator's warning list;
- you may use the name and logo you give us;
- your landing page is lawful in every country where your block shows;
- your business is not one that can never sponsor, and you are not a conflict party under the conflict rule. Both lists follow.
Who can never sponsor
- loans, credit and BNPL; debt collection and debt-relief firms
- gambling; crypto; alcohol, tobacco and vaping; weapons; dating
- supplements, cosmetic medicine, clinics, pharmacies and medical devices
- funeral services
- immigration, visa and permit services
- custody-dispute services
- political parties, campaigns and issue advocacy
- resellers of free or official services (vignettes, ID documents, apostilles)
- lawyers or agencies paid per case, per lead or per click
The conflict rule
- A sponsor is never from the sector the reader may complain about, claim against or leave, and never sells a product that the page's verdict says is illegal or restricted there.
- Energy pages: no energy supplier on any of them. Comparison sites and brokers only. That also rules out supplying cooperatives, dynamic-tariff suppliers, grid operators, and district-heating or oil/LPG suppliers.
- Telecom pages: no telecom operator.
- Complaint pages: no webshop or courier.
- Garage-dispute and used-car pages: no garage or dealer.
- Travel complaints: no hotel, booking site or tour operator.
- Pages where readers object to cameras: no CCTV seller.
- E-scooters: no e-scooter seller where private e-scooters are banned on public roads (UK).
- Flight: no claim agency anywhere near it.
- Disputes already under way (complaints, luggage, package holiday): no insurer.
- A sponsor's domain never appears in the page's answer, contacts or sources (checked at render and at go-live).
If one of these promises is not true, we may take your block off at once.
7. Claims about your business
If anyone makes a claim against us because of your text, your logo, your landing page or your business, you cover that claim and its reasonable costs.
8. Booking, the free start and payment
- You book online and pay through Stripe, our payment provider, by card or SEPA Direct Debit. Stripe keeps your payment details; we never see your full card or account number.
- Your booking starts a subscription, monthly or yearly, as you choose. Nothing is charged for the first 5 days.
- We check your business and your text within two working days, and we email you when your block is live.
- Nothing is charged before your block can go live. If our check takes longer than the free days, we extend them or credit you for the extra days.
- While you are in the checkout, we hold your seats for 30 minutes. Once Stripe confirms your booking, the seats are reserved for you.
- Before your block goes live, we verify your business: your VAT number in the EU's VIES system or, for a business outside the EU, its entry in that country's business register.
- We may refuse any booking without giving a reason. If we refuse, we cancel the subscription and nothing is charged; anything already charged is refunded in full.
- After the free days, Stripe charges every period in advance, monthly or yearly. You get an invoice for every charge.
9. Prices and VAT
- Your price is the one shown when you book and confirmed in your booking email. It does not depend on the traffic of the page. Prices are in euro and exclude VAT.
- A yearly plan costs 10 times the monthly price.
- Founding offer: seats booked until 31 January 2027 get 25% off the seat price, while founding seats last. The founding price is locked for 24 months on yearly plans and 12 months on monthly plans, as long as your plan is never interrupted.
- After the lock, the list price of that time applies, but your price rises by at most 33% in a year. The lock is a ceiling, not a floor: if our list price falls below your price, you pay the lower price from then on. Promotions and pilots do not count as list-price changes.
- Tailored text has its own price per seat, shown when you book. The founding discount does not apply to it.
- Your invoice shows the VAT that applies. Businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number pay no Dutch VAT: the reverse charge applies. Businesses outside the EU pay no Dutch VAT. Dutch businesses pay Dutch VAT where it applies.
- If a VAT number turns out to be invalid, we may correct the invoice and charge the VAT that is due.
10. When our pages change
Our pages change: automated fact checks, merges and redirects keep them correct. If the page of your seat changes its verdict, is unpublished or merged, or becomes sensitive, your block is hidden until we have reviewed the change. If the block cannot come back, you get the nearest open seat or a pro-rata refund.
11. Removal and credits
- We may take a block off when its page becomes sensitive, is merged or is deleted, when a law changes, when a regulator asks, after credible complaints, or when we switch off all sponsor blocks for more than 7 days. You then get the nearest open seat or a pro-rata refund.
- If your block is offline for more than 72 hours in a month because of us, we credit that month pro rata.
12. Term, cancelling and renewal
- Monthly plans with fewer than 10 seats have no minimum term. You can cancel any time; your plan then ends at the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing more is charged.
- If you cancel during the free days, nothing is charged at all.
- Yearly plans renew only if you confirm. We remind you 30 days before your year ends, and during those 30 days nobody else can book your seats (first refusal, yearly plans only).
- If you cancel a yearly plan within 30 days of its first payment, we refund it in full.
- Deals of 10 seats or more run yearly, or have a minimum term of 6 months.
- To cancel, reply to your booking email or write to us at the address on our imprint page.
13. Quiet-quarter credit
Once per term: if your seat's Google Search Console clicks in a calendar quarter fall below the quarterly rate on the seat card you bought from, you choose between 3 extra months and a swap to any open seat at the same price. Never cash, and never twice in one term.
14. If a payment fails
If a payment fails, you get a link to pay the invoice online. If it is still unpaid 7 days later, your block is hidden until it is paid. If it stays unpaid, we may end the subscription and release your seats.
15. Data
- You never ask us for data about our readers, and we never give you any.
- Your monthly report holds totals only: the Google Search Console numbers of your pages, and our own counts of clicks on your link and, where we count them, of block views. Our own counts are estimates, made without cookies.
- We use your contact and billing details to run your booking, invoices and reports. Stripe processes your payment details. See our privacy policy.
16. Lawyers
Lawyers and law firms can sponsor only for a flat fee, never linked to clicks, leads or cases, and only in countries whose bar rules we have checked. No country is open to lawyers yet.
17. Liability
Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit. These limits do not apply to damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, and they apply only as far as Dutch law allows.
18. Law, courts and language
- Dutch law applies to these terms and to every booking.
- Disputes with businesses in the EU go to the Amsterdam District Court (Rechtbank Amsterdam).
- For businesses outside the EU we intend the same law and court. Whether that choice binds them depends on treaties, such as the Lugano Convention for Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, and the Hague Choice of Court Convention of 2005 for the United Kingdom.
- A lawyer has not checked this section yet. We will have it checked before we accept the first booking from a business outside the EU.
- We publish these terms in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies: the Seat Terms in English.
