⚠️ Penalties & fines
The parking fine is paid to the Transport Agency within 8 days. Miss it and a reminder adds 150 kr, after which the case goes to the Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) — and then you risk a payment default record that follows you when you apply for a loan or a flat. You must pay even while disputing; the dispute is examined separately and the money is refunded if you are upheld. A control charge on private land is instead pursued in civil law through debt collection, and it too can end up with Kronofogden if you neither pay nor dispute in time.
