🔐 Someone used my digital ID or government login — who do I contact?

Direct answer

Your national digital identity (the login you use for tax, benefits, health) is the master key to everything, so treat misuse as an emergency. Block or reset it at Ügyfélkapu+ / DÁP — 1818 (1818) — every scheme has a helpline for exactly this. Then report to Rendőrség — feljelentés (112); the report number is needed to undo anything done in your name (a changed address, a benefit claim, a filed tax return). Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH) (06 1 391 1400) handles the data-protection side and can order the agency to correct the records. Never share a login code with anyone who calls — no agency ever asks.

❓ Frequently asked

I gave the code to someone on the phone

That is how most cases start. Block the ID now; you are still the victim, and the agencies treat it as such. Report it.

Someone changed my registered address

Reverse it at the population register with the police report; an address change redirects mail and enables more fraud, so do it first.

Can I get a new ID?

Yes — the scheme reissues it after verification of your identity in person or via a bank.
