From 1 July 2026 it is €729 — up by €65.50. The cash allowance for caring for one person has risen from €663.50 to €729 a month. ⚠️ Penalties & fines
Beware stale figures — the increase has only just landed. Until 30 June 2026 it was €663.50 for caring for one person and €882.50 for two. From 1 July 2026 it is €729 and €969. Older articles and calculators are still working from the old numbers, so check the figure with the labour office. What is most often missed: the €200 supplement for caring for a child with a severe disability — €929 in total. And a second route many do not know about: instead of the carer's allowance you can use personal assistance, whose hourly rate has risen to €6.81. Which works out better depends on the extent of help needed.
