My energy supplier is raising prices in Romania. What can I do?
A supplier cannot raise your price overnight. It has to warn you in advance, and that notice often gives you the right to leave.

Price rises
Your supplier must notify you directly at least 30 days before a price change takes effect and tell you that you may end the contract if you do not accept it.
Switching supplier
Switching is free; no fees may be charged. Your new supplier arranges it and the technical switch takes 24 hours via POSF. Early-exit fees are allowed only for fixed-term, fixed-price contracts. You get a final bill within 42 days.

What if I missed the letter?
Ask the supplier for a copy and the date it was sent. If they cannot show proper notice, complain.
