Folkerts: the delay that counts is at your final destination

Why a missed connection still pays, even if the first leg left on time.

Legal referenceC-11/11, 26 February 2013

On a connecting itinerary booked as one journey, the Court held that compensation depends on how late you reach your final destination — not on whether the first flight departed on schedule.

So a short first-leg delay that makes you miss a connection and arrive 3+ hours late still triggers compensation. Cite Folkerts whenever an airline points to an "on-time" first leg.
