🔗 New or bigger grid connection in Luxembourg: how long may it take and who do I complain to?

The short answer

A new home, a heat pump, a charging point or solar panels can need a new or bigger connection. The grid operator does this work, and many countries set deadlines and rules on costs.

📜 The rules in Luxembourg

Grid connection

The owner or builder contacts the local grid operator and signs a connection contract. The first connection costs, which may be charged as a flat fee, and the civil works are paid by the applicant.

  • At Creos, your electrician usually files the request via myCreos. After a site meeting and inspection of the preparatory work, Creos carries out the work within 30 days. Prices follow its service catalogue reviewed by the ILR. (creos-net.lu)
