📟 Smart meter in Finland: do I have to accept one?

The short answer

A smart meter sends readings automatically, so your bill is based on real use. Whether you can refuse one differs per country.

📜 The rules in Finland

Smart meter

Most household meters can already measure in 15-minute steps. Your network company will reprogram or replace all meters for 15-minute metering by the end of 2028, free of charge. You can see your consumption in Fingrid's Datahub.
