I am moving house: what happens to my internet contract in Czechia?
If moving means ending your phone or internet contract early, the law limits the cost: a charge for ending a fixed-term contract is allowed only within 3 months of signing, and at most one twentieth of the remaining monthly fees.
When you move, your provider may be able to take the service with you. If it cannot offer the same service at the new address, you may be able to end the contract. The rules for Czechia are below.

- A landline (geographic) number can be kept only within its designated area; a mobile number can be kept anywhere in the country. (e-sbirka.gov.cz)
- To see what is available at your new address, use ČTÚ's official comparison tool, which asks for the address where the service is to be set up. (ctu.gov.cz)
