My phone or internet price is going up: can I leave my contract in Czechia?
A provider may change your contract, including raising the price, only if the contract allows it and it tells you in text form at least 1 month before the change. You can then cancel free of charge within 1 month of receiving the notice.
When a provider changes the price or terms during your contract, you may have the right to leave without a fee. That depends on what your contract already said about price changes and on the rules in Czechia.

The details
- The notice must also tell you about your right to leave without penalty if you don't accept the new terms. (ctu.gov.cz)
- There is no free exit if the change is solely to your benefit, purely administrative with a neutral effect, or caused by a change in the law or a ČTÚ decision. (e-sbirka.gov.cz)
- If you don't reject the change by cancelling, you cannot keep using the service on the old terms. If you leave and keep a subsidised device, you still pay for it. (ctu.gov.cz)
Český telekomunikační úřad (ČTÚ)

❓ Questions
Is a price rise linked to inflation allowed?
It can be, if the contract set it out clearly. Whether it gives you a right to leave is in the rules for Czechia on this page.
How much warning must the provider give?
Providers usually have to tell you before the change starts. Where the rules in Czechia set a notice period, it is on this page.
What if I miss the deadline to leave?
The new price then usually applies. You can still leave at the end of the minimum term, or with notice if the contract already runs on.
