📝 What must I get before I sign a phone or internet contract in Albania, and can I change my mind?

The short answer

Before you sign, including online or by phone, the provider must give you a free, short and easy-to-read contract summary. Since 1 May 2026 it must use AKEP's standard template (Law 54/2024, art. 141; AKEP regulation of 2 February 2026).

Before you sign, you should get the key terms in writing: price, term, speed and how to leave. In many countries a short contract summary is required, and contracts made online, by phone or at your door usually come with a cooling-off period. The rules for Albania are below.
