🤝 Is there a social tariff or cheaper phone and internet for people on a low income in Iceland?

The short answer

There is no special low-income telecom tariff. In June 2025 Fjarskiptastofa compared prices with the other Nordic countries, found universal-service prices affordable for low-income consumers and saw no reason to designate a provider to secure affordable access.

Some countries have a social tariff or other support so that people on a low income can afford a phone and internet connection, and many guarantee a basic connection. What exists in Iceland is below.
