📟 Smart meter in Norway: do I have to accept one?

The short answer

A smart meter sends readings automatically, so your bill is based on real use. Whether you can refuse one differs per country.

📜 The rules in Norway

Smart meter

Smart meters (AMS) are mandatory and installed everywhere. With a doctor's or psychologist's certificate of serious health problems, the communication module can be removed or switched off, but you cannot keep an old meter.
