What must I get before I sign a phone or internet contract in Italy, and can I change my mind?
Before you sign, the provider must give you a free, concise and easy-to-read contract summary using the EU template, also for distance contracts. If it can only be sent later, the contract takes effect once you confirm your agreement.
Before you sign, you should get the key terms in writing: price, term, speed and how to leave. In many countries a short contract summary is required, and contracts made online, by phone or at your door usually come with a cooling-off period. The rules for Italy are below.

- If you switched provider and then use the 14-day withdrawal, your old contract is not automatically restored; the new provider must tell you this before you sign. (agcom.it)
