How do I switch my phone or internet provider in Cyprus?
Go to your new provider: it coordinates the switch and, if you keep your number, the porting. The old provider keeps serving you on the same terms until the new service works, and you may not be without service for over one working day.
Switching is mostly paperwork: the network stays where it is, only the company that provides your service changes. Who arranges the switch and how long the service may be down depends on the rules in Cyprus.

- Your contract with the old provider ends automatically once the switch is complete. Providers may not delay or abuse the process, or move you to another provider without your explicit consent. (ocecpr.ee.cy)
- If you switch internet provider, the new one activates the service as soon as possible on the date and in the time frame you explicitly agreed with it. (ocecpr.ee.cy)
- On prepaid, the old provider must refund your remaining credit on request. A fee is allowed only if the contract provides for it, and it must match the provider's actual cost of the refund. (ocecpr.ee.cy)
