Smell gas? Open doors and windows, do not switch lights or appliances on or off, no flames or lighters, turn off gas appliances and close the main valve, then leave the home at once. From a safe distance call Overgas's emergency line 0800 112 11 (in Overgas areas; elsewhere your local gas distributor) or 112, and wait for the emergency team.
