My energy supplier is raising prices in Estonia. What can I do?
A supplier cannot raise your price overnight. It has to warn you in advance, and that notice often gives you the right to leave.
📜 The rules in Estonia
Price rises
The seller must notify you of any contract change, including price, at least 30 days before it takes effect, with the bill or in writing. If you disagree, you may terminate the contract. As a household you can end an electricity contract with 14 days' notice.
Switching supplier
Switching is free: sellers may not charge households a switching fee. The new seller registers the contract at least 14 days before it starts, so a switch takes about two weeks. Only fixed-term contracts may carry a proportionate early-exit fee.

In many countries you can leave without a fee when the price goes up. The rules for Estonia are on this page.
What if I missed the letter?
Ask the supplier for a copy and the date it was sent. If they cannot show proper notice, complain.
