What must I get before I sign a phone or internet contract in Norway, and can I change my mind?
Your provider must give you a short, easy-to-read summary of your contract. The information you got before signing and the summary form part of the contract and can only be changed if you both expressly agree (ekomloven § 4-5).
Before you sign, you should get the key terms in writing: price, term, speed and how to leave. In many countries a short contract summary is required, and contracts made online, by phone or at your door usually come with a cooling-off period. The rules for Norway are below.

The details
- Providers must use the contract summary template published on Nkom's website (ekomforskriften § 4-3). (lovdata.no)
- If you sign by phone, online or at your door, you can withdraw within 14 days of the day the contract was made. If you were not told about this right, the deadline is extended by 12 months (angrerettloven § 21). (lovdata.no)
