📦 I am moving house: what happens to my internet contract in Croatia?

The short answer

To keep your service after moving, send your operator a written request with the police certificate of your new residence. It must provide the service at the new address under your existing contract and may not demand a new contract with a new minimum term.

When you move, your provider may be able to take the service with you. If it cannot offer the same service at the new address, you may be able to end the contract. The rules for Croatia are below.

The details

  • If the operator cannot provide your service at the new address, you can cancel without an early-termination fee. You don't have to accept a new contract or a service over a different technology. (hakom.hr)
  • If you'd rather end the contract than move it, the normal rule applies: during the minimum term you pay the remaining monthly fees or the discount you received, whichever is lower. (hakom.hr)
  • Renting? The owner can temporarily pass the contract's rights and obligations to you as tenant. When the lease ends, you or the owner must tell the operator. (hakom.hr)
  • You can transfer a contract to another person free of charge; the operator must do it within 3 working days of a complete request. (hakom.hr)
