📦 I am moving house: what happens to my internet contract in Greece?

The short answer

If you move and keep your provider, ask for a line transfer. Where technically feasible, the provider must switch off the old line and activate the new one on the same day, the date you set in your request.

When you move, your provider may be able to take the service with you. If it cannot offer the same service at the new address, you may be able to end the contract. The rules for Greece are below.

📜 The rules in Greece

The details

  • A change in line-transfer or reconnection fees does not give you a right to leave the contract free of charge. (eett.gr)
  • If you end the contract instead, the provider must cut internet and phone service within two working days of your notice, unless you ask for a specific date. (eett.gr)
  • An indefinite-term contract ends without any fee. Leaving a fixed-term contract early costs the early-termination fee calculated under EETT's rules. (eett.gr)
