How the amounts stack (and what doesn’t)

Compensation, refund and care are separate rights — claim all that apply.

Art. 7 compensation, an Art. 8 refund, and Art. 9 care are three distinct entitlements. A refund of your ticket does not cancel the fixed compensation, and care is owed on top of both.

What does not stack: you cannot take both a refund and re-routing under Art. 8 — that one is a choice. And a single delay yields one Art. 7 payment per passenger, not one per inconvenience.
