At the airport
- Note the scheduled and actual arrival times — the 3-hour clock runs on arrival, not departure
- Ask the airline, in writing, for the reason for the delay
- Claim your right to care: meals, and a hotel if you stay overnight (keep receipts)
Afterwards
Send a formal claim citing EU 261 Art. 7 and the Sturgeon ruling. If the airline blames "a technical issue", reply with Wallentin-Hermann — that does not qualify as extraordinary.
